All instructions and guidance during classes are an invitation to challenge you mentally and physically and therefore Tribe yoga events are only suitable for healthy and mentally stable persons.
If you have an injury or medical condition you may still be able to attend if you are happy to modify your practice.(we can advise)
All students are required to inform us prior to booking of any chronic or acute injuries or any mental or physiological conditions that may negate your ability to practice yoga safely or interact in the group harmoniously.
If you omit to inform us of any physical or mental health conditions and subsequently have difficulties we may ask you to leave the retreat or training. There is no refund.

Students are expected to take responsibility for themselves and approach each yoga practice with sensitivity and awareness of what and how they are feeling mentally and physically at all times. We encourage students to be sensitive to their limitations and always stop if they experience any pain or sickness.
We recommend you have comprehensive travel, cancellation & medical insurance for the duration of the yoga retreat/training. You can review and compare travel insurance options at travelinsuranceview.net

The same applies to guests’ injuries, illnesses, medical or psychiatric conditions developed during or subsequent to the holiday, as well as the loss of /or damage to personal property of guests.

If you have paid for accommodation and the venue is full we will assign you to alternative accommodation close to the venue.
At our discretion, we reserve the right to give concessions and discounts. This does not automatically entitle other participants to the same concessions or discounts. Only one discount is applicable per person. No combining of discounts allowed. Discounts are to be utilized with payment. We do not ‘refund’ a discount
Alcohol and drugs are disturbing influences that have no place during a retreat or training. We encourage and invite you to not smoke, drink or take drugs so you can get the most out of yourself and the yoga retreat/training. Tribe yoga events are 100% alcohol, cigarette, and drug-free zones.
We recognize that for some of you some habits will be difficult to stop completely and therefore request that if you do choose to indulge in any toxins that you do so beyond the parameters of the venue.
YTTS In respect for the group and the teachings, we request that trainees arrive in ample time before the beginning of every class. Any late arrivals may find that they are not admitted into the class.
YTTS For every event, we require a minimum number of trainees to attend. Its important for the group dynamic and the logistics of practicing teaching that there is a minimum of 12 students depending on the location. If 6 weeks before a training starts there is less than the required number of applicants the training may be subject to cancellation. We invite applicants to check in with us anytime to ask how many students have booked onto the training of their choice. It is recommended to book flights after the training has been confirmed.
It is not unusual to have late bookings so even is there are few bookings on a training 2 or 3 months before the start date it is more than likely that the training will take place. Should there be less than the required number of students there may also be the possibility to train with one senior teacher in a smaller group.

YTTS 95% attendance is required in order to receive a certificate. Since the trainings are scheduled as intensives there is very little room for non-attendance.
In the case of continuous non-attendance, additional hours of study on a future training will be required and a certificate will be issued to reflect the hours completed. Additional hours of study after the event to complete the training hours are subject to a teaching fee.
YTTS are presented to trainees on the basis of performance and attendance throughout the training. All students are required to achieve 75% pass rates in exams and assessments and express a basic level of sensitivity & awareness and a genuine yogic attitude and approach to practice and teaching. If a student fails in any part of the training assessments yet is deemed to have the capacity to pass re-takes will be offered.
It is Tribes experience that all students who apply themselves to the best of their ability pass. In the unlikely event that a student has not grasped the fundamentals of teaching, cannot teach in a safe and effective way or is unable to express the qualities of a sincere yoga practitioner/teacher Tribe reserves the right to maintain its teaching standards. In cases where the standard has not been met the trainee will be given a temporary certificate which states ‘more training recommended before teaching to the public’.
In the rare case that a trainee does, on final assessment, need extra time developing their skills and yogic approach to satisfy the basic standard of teaching additional training can be completed via self-study and through practice teaching to friends. When the trainee feels ready for re-assessment they can send a video of themselves teaching and complete the post-training assignments. If the basic standard of teaching has then been achieved a standard certificate will then be issued.

YTTS The training is intensive and therefore not suitable for pregnant women or for anyone on medication for serious physical or mental conditions unless covered by a doctor’s note. On arrival to the training one of the things we request is that all students sign a disclaimer stating that they are fit and healthy both mentally and physically and they are prepared for intensive practices that may lead to emotional and physical releases. Ultimately we ask that each person take responsibility for himself or herself. This means resting when needing to or ‘backing off’ when one feels about to move beyond any personal limitation (physical or mental). If a trainee experiences any kind of crisis we are there to help and be supportive when we can. We generally have connections with local professionals, doctors, therapists, and counselors so we can refer you to someone if necessary.
